The Mille Lacs Band of Ojibwe and our casinos, Grand Casino Mille Lacs and Grand Casino Hinckley, take great pride in the jobs, tourism, and economic vitality we bring to East Central Minnesota.

The state has considered gaming expansion as a way to raise revenue for state programs and services for many years. As legislators gear up for the 2012 session, gaming expansion has emerged again as a hot topic at the Capitol.

Gaming expansion would have a drastic effect on the Mille Lacs Band, Grand Casino Mille Lacs, Grand Casino Hinckley, our workforce of more than 4,100 people, and many of the businesses that work with us.

We are uniting with our employees, vendors, neighbors and friends to help protect our region's economy. Please join us in supporting the economic benefits of Grand Casinos and protecting a strong East Central Minnesota. Sign up here to receive updates on the status of gaming expansion discussions.

Hundreds of supporters contacted state legislators to urge them to oppose gaming expansion during the 2011 regular and special legislative sessions. Your efforts helped spread the message to state leaders that expansion was not the right way to solve the budget deficit.

We appreciate your willingness to voice your support for the economic vitality of East Central Minnesota. We may ask you to contact your state legislators in the future as we watch for gaming expansion.

Mii gwech (thank you)!
